Honeywell Access Control Technician
Primary Objective
A "Honeywell EBI access control system technician" refers to a technical professional who specializes in programming, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting access control systems that are integrated within a Honeywell Enterprise Buildings Integrator (EBI) platform, which allows for unified management of various building systems like HVAC, security, and access control within a single interface.
Specific Accountabilities
· Display confirmable experience with the Honeywell Enterprise Buildings Integrator (EBI) platform.
o Notable experience with software program required.
o Working experience with field level peripherals (e.g. readers, electromechanical door locks, door contacts, etc.) required.
o Install new access control hardware and software within an EBI system.
o Configure user access levels and permissions on the EBI platform.
o Monitor system health and address alerts related to access control functions
o Perform routine maintenance and preventative checks on access control devices
o Provide technical support to building managers regarding access control operations within the EBI system
· Capabilities to integrate access control systems with other building management functions.
· Ability to be inside plant facility past security no later than 7:00 AM Monday through Friday weekly.
· Timely submittal of applicable expense receipts and ticket reporting.
· Timely response to various forms of electronic communications (e.g. email, text, phone calls).
Education
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Confirmable working knowledge of EBI platform (current certification will be viewed as a positive).
Matching Indicators
· Experience with EBI platform and its capabilities to integrate access control systems with other building management functions.
· Access Control System knowledge: proficient in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting standalone Access Control Systems, including the wiring of badge reader devices, controllers, and user management.
· Network Integration: Working knowledge of IP address and command line testing of network connectivity.
· Diagnosing issues with access control functionality within the EBI system and resolving problems efficiently.
Additional Requirements
· TWIC card holder or, ability to renew or receive one.
· Ability to pass a full panel toxicology screening (DISA).
· Ability to pass applicable safety training courses.
· Travel to job sites will be required.
